Hydroseeding (sometimes referred to as hydraseeding or hydromulching) is a process of applying site specific seed mixes to an area that requires rapid grass establishment. The seed is mixed with water, a paper and wood blended mulch, fertiliser, soil binders and bio-stimulants in the hydroseeding machine to create a homogeneous slurry. The material is then pumped to the application nozzles and sprayed out over the prepared site evenly to achieve a uniform germination and establishment.
